Goodbyes
One of the hardest moments in life is saying goodbye to someone we love. Coming together to remember them is a moment that etches itself to live long in people’s hearts.
A funeral or memorial service gives us space to honour, to reflect, to acknowledge and to share.
If you have lost a close relative or friend and you are looking for a way to commemorate their life, and share with others a final goodbye, I would be honoured to support you in creating a service that will soothe and give you solace in grief.
We’ll meet in person and talk through what you would like the ceremony to be. One of the qualities I am known for is holding space for people to work through difficult emotions. In my experience funerals and memorial services are one such time where we feel all sorts of emotions.
I will guide you through the process of organising the day, along with creating a script that will honour and celebrate your loved one for a funeral, remembrance service or future memorial.
Funerals and memorials for the South Wales Locality only.
‘Do not stand at my grave and weep’
Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
