Few moments are as memorable as the day we welcome our children into the world. Celebrating this with family and friends helps seal the bond that unites us.

Our children get into every fibre of our being, they get into our bones. And naming ceremonies and adoption ceremonies are infused with this joy and celebration for the gift of life.

To begin with, we’ll meet and chat about the type of celebration you want that is meaningful to you – formal, informal, elegant, natural, spiritual, vibrant. A ceremony can be held at home, a hotel, village hall, community centre or a woodland park whereever you would like to gather with your family and friends and welcome your child.

By having a celebrant lead your naming or adoption ceremony, it lends recognition of the significance of the moment, and allows you to be part of the ceremony rather than leading it.

‘Love you more’ by James Carter

Do I love you

to the moon and back?

No I love you

more than that

I love you to the desert sands

the mountains, stars

the planets and

I love you to the deepest sea

and deeper still

through history

Before beyond I love you then

I love you now

I’ll love you when

The sun’s gone out

the moon’s gone home

and all the stars are fully grown

When I no longer say these words

I’ll give them to the wind, the birds

so that they will still be heard

I love you
